17 May 2022

eHealth NSW is proud to have been named a finalist twice in the NSW Health Awards. Both its COVID-19 vaccination administration management systems and Unrostered Overtime and Callback Claims (UROC) System were shortlisted with NSW Health announcing the winners on May 19.

Vaccination administration management solutions

During the pandemic, eHealth NSW developed a series of vaccination administration management solutions to support NSW Health to mass vaccinate the public against COVID-19. These solutions have been announced a finalist in the ‘Keeping People Healthy’ category.

In his video interview Gary Rubie, Program Director of VAM talks about CoVax, VAXHub and VAM and how these solutions were developed and implemented at a speed and on a scale never attempted or achieved before. The result is that as at the end of April almost 95% of NSW people over 16 years old have had two doses, and more than 60% have also had the booster.

These solutions also received an Honourable Mention in the 2021 NSW Premier’s Awards, and are a finalist in the iTnews Benchmark Awards to be announced on June 15.

Unrostered Overtime and Callback Claims (UROC) System

eHealth NSW’s Unrostered Overtime and Callback Claims (UROC) system was chosen as a finalist in the ‘People and Culture’ category.

In this interview, Andrew Pollock, Application Manager, describes how this system was key to delivering the Ministry’s Junior Medical Officer (JMO) Wellbeing and Support Plan.

UROC, which is accessible via a mobile application, has improved JMO wellbeing by making it easier for them to claim unrostered overtime and reducing the time it takes for claims to be paid. As well, UROC provides local health districts with richer data and analytics on why overtime is being worked which can inform future rostering decisions.
