To apply for roles, you must create an NSW Health Career profile. Your application is a chance for you to show how your skills, knowledge and abilities are suited to the job. Typically, at eHealth NSW we will ask for a cover letter, CV and an additional task.
All roles will have the name and contact details of the person recruiting for the role, so if you have any queries about the additional task or application process please reach out. You will need to complete the additional task for your application to be considered.

Your application will be reviewed by a recruitment partner and sent to the selection panel for consideration. The size and membership of the panel will vary depending on the scope and nature of the position to be filled, however it will include at least one male and one female member who have completed “respecting the difference” training in line with the NSW Health recruitment and selection policy guidelines.

A recruitment partner will contact you to confirm interview details, setting up video conferencing for remote interviews and sending out the schedule and meeting invitations.
Pre-employment Checks
Before attending an interview, you will be asked to complete an online pre-employment check.
Additional Assessment Task
You may be asked to complete an additional assessment task at the end of your interview.
Psychometric Assessment
You may be asked to complete a candidate or psychometric assessment post interview. These assessments are a useful tool used by eHealth NSW to predict job performance.

All information from the assessment process with be collated and a decision will be made. The preferred candidate will proceed to reference checks.

A minimum of two references are required. Once checks are complete and verified, all unsuccessful interviewees will be contacted to provide meaningful feedback.

We will conduct the following checks;
- National Police Check. Your details will be shared with the National Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC).
- Service Check Register (SCR): Your details will be shared with an internal NSW Health state-wide recruitment database.
- Health Assessment: If you have declared a medical condition that impacts your ability to fulfil the requirements of the role, they are reviewed by Fitness for Work to determine if any reasonable adjustment is required.

You will receive a call from the hiring manager making a verbal offer and to discuss and details such as start date, end date, salary, location, hours, etc. Once the details are agreed you will receive a formal Offer of Employment by email. You will have three working days to accept the offer, which is all done online with your NSW Health account.
