What does a typical day in your role at eHealth NSW look like?
In a typical day I process and triage a variety of access forms including Network Access, Shared Drive, eMR and Remote Access forms. A large portion of my workload is managing and processing eMR accounts for onboarding Doctors and Junior Medical Officers and liaising with medical admin staff to ensure they are up and running with their access prior to their commencement date.
What do you find most rewarding about working in IT?
Helping healthcare professionals and clinicians provide better care for the community. Building relationships and interacting with other teams within eHealth NSW and having a healthy work life balance.

What sparked your initial interest in the field of IT?
My initial interest in IT was sparked by a combination of curiosity and fascination with technology's potential. I was always intrigued by how technology can solve real-world problems. Watching how quickly technology evolves and improves people’s lives made me want to dive deeper into the field.
Which IT initiatives at eHealth NSW have meant the most to you?
Being part of the Essential Eight program is currently an IT initiative that has meant the most to me. By being part of this initiative, I get to work on helping protect individuals in the community and NSW Health from cyberattacks, data breaches and other security threats.

What does a typical day in your role at eHealth NSW look like?
My job is to make sure that the NSW Health Enterprise Data Lake Platform builds things that deliver value to the users of the platform. So, a typical day involves interacting with customers and users of the platform, addressing their queries, understanding their needs and closely work with the platform team to ensure that the features are developed in a way that cater to those needs and more. I also work with customers to ensure that they understand the capabilities of the platform and how to use it to achieve their goals.
What emerging technology are you most excited about?
I'm particularly excited about the potential of AI in healthcare, especially in predictive analysis. With its immense data processing power and advanced pattern recognition capabilities that go beyond what a single human can manage, this tech can help healthcare professionals make more informed advanced predictions.
