eHealth NSW is delivering a statewide technology ecosystem which supports the move to integrated and shared care across NSW Health.
The core services provide:
- Centralised authentication against a single identity for all NSW Health staff accessing IT services
- Unified messaging and email archiving for all NSW Health staff
- Application distribution and deployment across the NSW Health technology landscape
- Conferencing and collaboration and information sharing capabilities.
These services work in partnership with other eHealth initiatives such as the Health Wide Area Network program and Human Resources Information System to break down organisational barriers and deliver improved collaboration and communication abilities to frontline health workers across the state.
Servicing over 140,000 NSW Health users, the program is the largest of its kind in Australia.
