Data Centre Reform (DCR)
The NSW Government is currently working towards consolidation of its 130 data centres and computer rooms to provide all government agencies and departments with two modern, high-performance, energy efficient and secure data centres.
NSW Health and NSW Department of Education and Communities have been chosen as the anchor tenants for the new data centres, which are being managed by the Department of Finance and Services.
As part of the Data Centre Reform Program, eHealth NSW will migrate NSW Health applications and associated infrastructure from its three existing data centres located at Cumberland Hospital (Sydney), Liverpool Hospital (Sydney) and John Hunter Hospital (Newcastle) to the new data centres at Silverwater (Sydney) and Unanderra (Wollongong).
eHealth NSW anticipates that the migration of NSW Health applications and associated infrastructure will be completed by 2017.
