ICT experts from the state’s digital health agency eHealth NSW have started supporting staff from a range of NSW Health agencies as they begin working from new corporate headquarters at 1 Reserve Road (1RR).
Staff from the Ministry of Health, Cancer Institute NSW and the Health Education and Training Institute (HETI) are the first to move into 1RR on the Royal North Shore Hospital campus in St Leonards.
At the walk-up Connect IT Hub on level 6, a three-strong team is supporting staff requiring assistance with desktops, laptops and other devices and will be in high demand as more agencies move into 1RR in the next month.
The Connect IT team will scale up to 12 once more than 2,700 staff members from all agencies have relocated to 1RR. Staff from the Clinical Excellence Commission and HealthShare NSW corporate services are next in line to move in to 1RR, from 31 July.
1RR workers can visit the Connect IT team for support at the Hub between 7.30am and 5.30pm on weekdays. And from mid-August, staff can pre-arrange a Hub appointment or schedule same-day deskside support.

"The Connect IT team is excited to provide services from the high-tech hub in this beautiful new facility and they will also roam the floors and provide support as staff move in," said Janine Treacy, A/Associate Director, Customer Services, eHealth NSW.
"Over the coming weeks and months, a number of eHealth NSW staff will join team leader Graeme Burt in providing support to the NSW Health agencies moving in before the end of August.”
HGEN shines at 1RR
eHealth NSW has played a significant role in designing and building the ICT infrastructure that supports the 1RR site. Powering the building is the Health Grade Enterprise Network (HGEN), which is supporting the end-user devices and solutions that staff use on daily basis.
These include video-conferencing and meeting room collaboration systems, desktops, printers, telephones, Guest Wi-Fi and all of the facilities and security management systems that keep the building operational.

eHealth NSW’s Connect IT team are providing the following suite of services:
- Application support for eHealth NSW-approved applications
- Device imaging and deployment
- Mobile Device Management (MDM) enrolment
- Network connectivity support, including Wi-Fi
- Physical device remediation for eHealth NSW-supported devices
- Printing (Find Me Print)
- Software installations
- Induction training for meeting room technology and how to book a room
- Remote access support for Cisco Any Connect and F5 state-wide.
- Other issues should be lodged using the Create Incident form on SARA.
