A glimpse into the Rural eHealth Program

eHealth NSW's Rural eHealth Program has produced two videos highlighting the challenges and triumphs associated with this important work and the benefits it brings to patients living in far-flung areas of our state.

The Rural eHealth Program is responsible for delivering the latest clinical software and technology to six Local Health Districts (LHDs) dotted throughout an area covering 650,000km2.

As Rural eHealth Program Director Kerri Ryan points out, LHDs spread across such vast expanses need fast, reliable access to information about the patients they care for and the ability to connect with each other.

“These videos allow the clinicians and executives of these LHDs to describe how vital these capabilities are and how successful they have been at helping to implement them,” Kerri said.
